Cloth and Clay
A whole day of Japanese inspired crafting with potter Sara Wilkinson and textile artist Stephanie le Cocq.
Join us on a summer's Sunday for a creative day of fun, meeting new people and learning new skills! You will complete both workshops in the day. Lunch and snacks are included in the cost. Suitable for ages 14+
Make a plate from clay and decorate with Japanese motifs. Sara will walk you through the various elements involved to enable you to create a gorgeous plate using a relief texture and underglazes. Your plate will be fired in the kiln and ready to collect from Bourn Pottery within 2 weeks.
Learn the traditional Japanese art of indigo dyeing and Shibori resist techniques. You'll come away with your own scarf and 4 multi-use napkins.
£105 per person including Japanese style lunch (let us know if you have any dietary requirements).
